Day 3 – A Day of Dismay [Shenzhen Almost but Landed at Macau Earlier than Planned]

I’ve read somewhere that a Shenzhen escape is just a train away from Hongkong with a visa-on-arrival a major plus.  Ambitious we may have sounded but off we’re up at 7am for our do-it-yourself Shenzhen tour.  We carefully studied the train transfers and have plotted the places to visit with Window of the World a top priority.

Day 2 Around Hongkong – Victoria’s Peak, Madame Tussauds Museum and 1881 Heritage Luxury Shop

Tramway is the fastest way to reach the Peak but like yesterday, we plumped for the bus.  While waiting for our bus, I happened to glance at the ads by our side – Rickshaw Sightseeing Bus with a heritage tour around Hongkong for HK$50.  Too late for now, maybe next time…

At the Peak, we mooched by the observation deck then to the galleria even the green terrace and finally Madame Tussauds.

Day 1 Around Hongkong – The Ngong Ping Village and Disneyland Resort

It was nearly 9am when we left Hongkong International Airport with an MTR Airport Express Travel Pass at hand.  With little instructions obtained, we found our way to the city proper.  That early, I enjoyed the tourist-friendly Hongkong as we made several transfers and did several turns on foot but managed our way to the hostel at the busy district of Tsim Sha Tsui.

It was 10am after we dropped off our luggage… With no minute wasted we’re on our shoes for our Hongkong Tour.  Despite being just two of us, both girls and first-timers in Hongkong, we felt no worries about being lost.  Don’t know why but the homey air of being safe and secured swayed our way.
