Day 2 Around Hongkong – Victoria’s Peak, Madame Tussauds Museum and 1881 Heritage Luxury Shop
Our second day itinerary comprised of
the attractions around Victoria’s Peak or Mount Austin in Central Hongkong and Salisbury
Road in East Tsim Sha Tsui. Don’t know
how to squeeze in everything but we were open to anything goes.
Tramway is the fastest way to reach
the Peak but like yesterday, we plumped for the bus. While waiting for our bus, I happened to glance
at the ads by our side – Rickshaw Sightseeing Bus with a heritage
tour around Hongkong for HK$50. Too late
for now, maybe next time…
At the Peak,
we mooched by the observation deck then to the galleria even the green terrace and
finally Madame Tussauds.

Of the places we visited in Hongkong, it was at Madame Tussauds that we frittered most our time. Well, we’re not camera buffs, see it to believe…
We even waited for The Scream to open…
After Madame Tussauds, we sailed Star
Ferry for a quick Victoria Harbor passage.
The view of the towering structures struck my sight… Wow… I envisage a night cruise with arms wrapped around me (like Michael and Julianne in My Best Friend’s Wedding at the stern of the boat) under the vibrant setting of Symphony
of Lights... Before I pondered further, the toot as we approach the port stopped my reverie. There’s more on our
list at this side of Hongkong around Salisbury Road -- the Clock Tower, Salisbury
Garden, Hongkong Museums, Avenue of Stars and more…

Then there’s 1881
Heritage, not on our agenda, no idea whatsoever of its existence… We scrapped altogether our list. The overwhelming
bliss at Madame Tussauds earlier already made our day. We just sealed it with a leisurely stroll around the shops, filling
our eyes with the gorgeous stuffs flaunted with pride. Stuff I can’t bear to hold, much more to wear…
We retreated to our hostel with euphoria
flowing all-over… We rested again for
the night market haunt. This time

ReplyDeleteNice pictures.. were you at madame tussaud's early? i'm planning my trip with my daughter and saw that they have an early bird rate which is way much cheaper.. how about the tram and sky terrace combo? any idea? i'm trying to cut our budget.. :D
