MT. PULAG -- Benguet (Ambangeg-Ambangeg Trail)

This was the second of the three visits to Mt. Pulag for a cause.  During the first visit, books, school supplies, school bags and learning materials were brought to Palansa Elementary School, Line-10 School and Babalak School.  While for the third visit, we gave same materials but to different beneficiaries -- the new school between Line-10 and BAbalak, Line-10 Primary School and Ambangeg Elemenary School.  

For this visit -- the main recipients are Palansa Elementary School and Ambangeg Elementary School.  Kiddie chairs and tables, computer set, learning materials and books were given to Palansa Elementary School while learning materials, school supplies and books were given to Ambangeg Elementary School.

Day 0
8PM – Assembly time at Dagupan Bus Cubao (Dagupan Bus accommodates big packages at low price)
10PM – Left Cubao for Baguio City

Day 1
4AM – Arrived at Baguio City, transferred packages to the Jeep
630AM – Breakfast at JangJang Eatery
730AM – Arrived at DENR, left books and other learning materials for Ambangeg Elementary School
830-9AM – Traveled from DENR to Palansa Elementary School
9AM – Arrived at Palansa Elementary School, handed over learning materials, desks and chairs, computer set and others




9:45-11AM – Traveled from Palansa to Ranger Station
11AM-12NN – Trek from Ranger Station to Camp 1, rest then had lunch
12:30-2:15PM – Trek from Camp 1 to Camp 2
2:30PM – Set-up camp, explored Camp 2, then prepare for dinner
6PM – Dinner time, socials then lights off

According to the DENR, the weather in the past nights registered between 8 to 9 degrees.  Everyone was geared up in anticipation for a colder night and the possibility of a rain.  Thankfully the night passed by without a single drop of rain :)

Day 2
3AM – Wake up call, had coffee and prepare to summit
330-515AM – Trek from Camp 2 to summit
530-630AM – Enjoyed the summit, the sunrise and the 360 degree view
630-730AM – Trek from summit back to camp 2
730AM – At camp 2, had breakfast, rest then break camp
9-11:30AM – Trek from camp 2 back to Ranger Station, rest then had lunch
12NN-2PM – Traveled from Ranger Station back to DENR, had rest, freshen up then turn-over of books and learning materials to Ambangeg Elementary School
230-430PM – Traveled from DENR back to Baguio
430-6PM – Free time around Baguio
630PM-2AM – Traveled from Baguio back to Manila... Home Sweet Home...

Our second day was blessed with a beautiful weather also, great clearing, great view of the sunrise, the sea of clouds and there was just enough number of mountaineers at the summit.
