Mt. Palpalan and Pulacan Waterfalls
Mt. Palpalan is the highest point of Pagadian City at 684masl. It houses the satellite transmitters of LCM FM 88.7. From the Rotonda, Mt. Palpalan is a 30-minute ride by tricycle plus about 10-minute hike to the summit. It was one of the heart-popping rides I had and I truly admired how the driver managed the bike on various steep ascends.

The view of Pagadian Bay is
best seen along the road before the jump-off as compared to the view at the summit
which was somewhat covered by trees.

After Mt. Palpalan, we were
back at the Rotonda for another 45-minute ride to Pulacan Waterfalls --
located in Upper Pulacan in Labangan, which is already outside of Pagadian City. The waterfall was situated beside the highway
and should we’ve known earlier, a bus was a better option in terms of a comfy ride.

Anyways, Pulacan Waterfalls lays
within Camp Major Cesar Sang-an – 1st Infantry Division and said to
be a permanent Scout campsite. The basin
of the main falls is not an ideal swimming ground but just meters below is
a lagoon resembling pond that has a welcoming “dive-in” guise. With no extra clothes at hand, gazing at its
unique beauty was the most I can do… Maybe next time I’ll come to enjoy you
more, until then…
